Tadumadze is related to "Georgian Dream" - Third Sector Requests Participation in Selection of Chief Prosecutor

The third sector demands to stop the process of selection of the Chief Prosecutor. According to NGO coalition members , the process of selection of the prosecutor can not be legitimate without their participation.

In addition, the third sector representatives say that the head of the government"s administration, Shalva Tadumadze, can not be appointed as the chief prosecutor, because he is a person who is related to the Georgian Dream and his independence is questioned.


"An independent and impartial person should be appointed on the post of Chief Prosecutor. It should not be related to any political team.
As for Tadumadze, it is clear that he is connected with "Georgian Dream" - said Eka Gigauri, executive director of Transparency International Georgia.

Sopho Verdzeuli,a director of the Justice and Democracy program at the Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center states that the society expects independent candidate on the position of the Chief Prosecutor.
