The Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained Tornike Kacharava, close friend of Mindia Gogochuri, the son -in-law of Giorgi Margvelashvili. According to Courieri the operation was carried out on Akhvlediani street. During the search, the weapon was removed. MIA confirms detention The investigation began under the article 236 of the Criminal Code.

Tornike Kacharava was released on July 17, 2017, in exchange for bail. He was arrested by law enforcers for possession of drugs. Then, the daughter of the president, Anna Margvelashvili, said that Kacharava and her close friend Mikheil Tatrishvili were victims of the repression against the president"s family and the drugs were planted on them.
