Civil sector demands transparency of selection and appointment process of judges

The civil sector demands to improve the transparency and procedures of the selection and appointment of judges.

According to the Coalition for Independent and Transparent Judiciary, judges of city and appellate courts should not be selected by secret ballot, but according to points.

As for the judges of the Supreme Court, they think that this issue should become a subject of considerable discussion and in addition to the High Council of Justice, the involvement of the public is also important.

The legislative proposal prepared by the Coalition is to be discussed at the Parliamentary Legal Issues Committee today.
