If Council was to evaluate Murusidze with transparent process, he would not satisfy the good-faith criteria


Non-governmental organizations respond to the issue of lifelong appointment of Levan Murusidze as a judge at a special press conference. The session of the High Council of Justice is scheduled today, where the members of the Council will interview Levan Murusidze. His three-year probationary period is expiring. Representatives of NGOs expect that Levan Murtsidze will become a life-time judge. They say that it will be the response of the High Council of Justice to the confrontation that their 10-member list of of judges caused.
According to NGOs, in case of objective and transparent process Levan Murusidze will not meet the criteria of good faith and professionalism.
"If the Council was to evaluate Murusidze with objective criteria and transparent processes, I am sure he would not meet the criteria of honesty and professionalism and he would not be appointed, "said the coordinator of the project of " Young Lawyers Association ", Ekaterine Tsimakuridze.
