Three individuals detained on participation in group violence on June 20-21 - MIA

 

Three individuals were detained on the basis of a judge"s due to participation in group violence on the night of 20-21 June. The statement was made at the briefing held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs today.
According to Mamuka Chelidze, the investigation has revealed that during the events that took place on the territory of Parliament on June 20-21, the above-mentioned persons took part in group violence.

According to the acting director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they were using various objects to attack the police, were resisting police and attempted to invade in the parliament.

According to the law enforcement agency, 12 persons are charged with organizing, managing and involving in group violence on June 20-21, including Nick Melia, a member of parliament who is accused of heading group violence and participation in the group violence.

According to Mamuka Chelidze, the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to intensify the process of identification of other persons participating in the crime.
