Georgian citizen detained in Greece on charges of illegally transporting migrants

The police of Thessaloniki, Greece, detained a 36-year-old Georgian citizen on charges of illegally transporting migrants.


According to the Greek, the person did not have a driver’s license and was driving a car at “dangerously high speed”. He was transporting 13 Afghan migrants, who did not have necessary documents to stay in Greece legally. The driver resisted the police during the arrest.


Along with the illegal transfer of migrants, the detainee is accused of resisting law enforcers, violating traffic rules and fraud.
