The number of people infected with coronavirus exceeds 13 million worldwide

There are now over 13 million confirmed COVID-19 cases globally, with over 571,000 fatalities and more than seven million recoveries, according to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. has risen to over 3.3 million and the death toll has surpassed 135,000. On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump wore a face mask in public for the first time.

Brazil, the world’s second coronavirus hot spot after the U.S., has registered over 1.8 million confirmed cases, with 72,100 deaths.
