Despite the pandemic, 2020 was quite successful in terms of state property privatization. Such a statement made today Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy.

“Over GEL 130 mln has been earned from privatizing buildings this year which is GEL 12 mln more compared to 2019. Out of the earnings from privatization, more than GEL 95 mln was transferred to the budget.

115 buildings have been sold under the programme “100 New Investment Offers to Business”, initiated by the Economy Ministry and National Agency of State Property while there are ongoing auctions for 130 other state buildings.

GEL 67 mln was the total starting price of all the buildings put up for auction under this programme while after selling the total earnings reached GEL 84 mln”, - said Natia Turnava.
