11 people have been killed – pupils among them - and four are in hospital after a school shooting in the Russian city of Kazan, writes RIA news agency, citing the emergency services ministry.
According to RIA, one gunman had been detained. It was not immediately clear what the motive for the attack was.
Interfax news agency cited a source as saying that there were two attackers and the second could still be in the building.
Video footage shared on social media showed emergency service vehicles parked outside the school, with people running towards the building. Other videos showed broken windows with debris outside.
