Vaccine will save lives - the Head of WHO vaccinated against coronavirus

The Head of World Health Organization vaccinated against coronavirus. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote about the vaccination on his Facebook page.

“Today it was my turn to get vaccinated at Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève against COVID-19. Vaccines save lives. It’s critical to get them to all countries A.S.A.P. If like me you live in a country where vaccines are available, please get vaccinated when it’s your turn.

To make vaccines available to all who need them, governments, manufacturers and other stakeholders must commit to share and produce more doses of COVID-19 vaccines to protect everyone.

Glad to have the opportunity on International Nurses Day to thank nurses at Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève who have been working throughout the pandemic. My thanks, admiration and respect for all nurses all over the world. I also visited the COVID-19 unit that was established as virus transmission spiked in Geneva. I saluted the nurses, doctors and other staff whose tireless work saved and comforted hundreds of patients”, - writes Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
