Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia paid an official visit to Armenia

Vakhtang Gomelauri is paying an official visit to the Republic of Armenia. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia was hosted by the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia - Vahe Ghazaryan.

Prior to the meeting, Vakhtang Gomelauri, along with members of the delegation and the Chief of Police of Armenia, laid a wreath at the memorial wall of the police officers killed in the line of duty.

Within the frames of the official visit, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Shalva Bedoidze, Deputy Ministers - Ioseb Chelidze and Giorgi Butkhuzi are also paying an official visit to the Republic of Armenia along with the Minister of Internal Affairs.

At the official meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further enhance and develop the existing cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Armenia. Vakhtang Gomelauri and Vahe Ghazaryan discussed sectoral reforms, current projects, the importance of the exchange of information as well as experience within the framework of police cooperation.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia wished success to the newly established patrol service of Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, by the Order of the Chief of Police of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, Vakhtang Gomelauri, and members of the Georgian delegation were awarded medals – “For Strengthening Cooperation”.
