Chernobyl nuclear power plant falls to Russian forces, says Ukrainian official.

Earlier, president Volodymyr Zelenskyy had said that their defenders were trying to ensure that the tragedy of 1986 was not repeated.

According to the Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko, “troops of the occupiers have entered the area of the Chernobyl power plant from Belarus”.
