Hypermarkets in Georgia’s big cities are running promotions regarding Ukraine’s Independence Day, urging citizens to buy Ukrainian products.

Ukraine Chargé d’affaires Andrei Kasyanov has thanked the distributors for supplying quality Ukrainian products to the Georgian market amid “difficult logistical conditions”.

“Today’s promotion is “a genuine manifestation of the solidarity and support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

During the daily bombings and missile strikes in Ukraine, we feel the firm support of the Georgian people in our liberation struggle against the common aggressor - Russia. We are extremely grateful for the humanitarian assistance provided by the Georgian people during the six months of the war”, - said Andrei Kasyanov.

Ukraine marks Independence Day on 24 August.
