The outgoing German Ambassador released a farewell video extending his gratitude to citizens of Georgia.

“Many thanks to all Georgians who we were able to meet with, who followed our work and our path here and who accompanied us with good wishes. One thing is for sure: Germany and Georgia will continue to be good, close partners and we will always remain connected to this country.

It had been a great honour for me to represent Germany in Georgia. Relations between the two states are special, with a long-time tradition.

We wish Georgia further development, first of all, peace and overcoming internal political disagreements, which burden the country. I would like Georgia to successfully continue its path to EU membership, so that no one casts a shadow and harms this fundamental partnership”, - said Hubert Knirsch.
