Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economy, met representatives of the Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air to discuss plans for the 2023 year and prospects for additional flights to Georgia.
Stressing the “successful and strategic” cooperation with the airline, particularly over the past 2 years “due to joint efforts”, Kvrivishvili noted Wizz Air was operating flights to more than 20 European destinations from Kutaisi International Airport.
“We talked today about further deepening our relationship, which will contribute to the development of the tourism and aviation sector in our country, including the addition of new destinations. We are sure that with joint efforts, we will ensure very interesting projects in the future”, - said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
Expressing readiness for further cooperation, Wizz Air representatives noted “we are sure to get back to you soon with some good news”.
