In 2023, the financing for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth is determined with 401,2 ml GEL, the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze declared at the joint sitting of the Sports and Youth Issues, and the Culture Committees.

He introduced the main parameters, macroeconomic and economic growth forecasts, as well as the assignments for the state agencies and the target programs and projects. As to the financial parameters, the real economic growth is planned within 5%, the total incomes constitute 21 302,0 ml GEL and the expenditure part of the mixed budget – 24,3 ml GEL.

The mixed budget deficit constitutes 2,8% of GDP and the state debt index is planned within 39% of GDP. According to the Chair of the Sports Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili, the Draft provides a positive dynamic of the financing of the state agencies and programs, though there are directions in the sports sphere that require extra allocations, for instance, sports infrastructure and the funds for the Football Development Fund; hence, he appealed to the Finance Ministry for extra allocations.

As the reporter responded, the Draft is under consideration and the Ministry intends to hold meetings with other Ministries, as well as the Committees. The Committees approved the Draft.
