The Information spread in media alleging that the employees of various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA] are leaving their positions is false. Such a statement was released by the agency.

“We would like to respond to the information spread in various media outlets and social networks alleging that the employees of various departments of the MIA are leaving their positions at the agency.

We would like to emphasize that the information is a complete falsehood and aims to discredit the MIA as an agency and its employees.

In addition, the targeted dissemination of false and unverified information by some media outlets and members of political groups serves to undermine the image of the MIA as a state institution in society.

Regarding the information spread yesterday, we would like to state that the employee of the MIA - the head of the operational planning division of Special Tasks Department - Irakli Shaishmelashvili, addressed the Minister of Internal Affairs with a personal note on his resignation”, - reads the statement.
