The President of Georgia gave an interview to the Georgian Public Broadcaster regarding the recent developments in the country. When asked whether she should wait for the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR, Salome Zourabichvili stated that the crisis is not waiting for anything.
According to her, the people are out on the streets and new elections should be called in the country and this is the only democratic political path.
“Elections should be called. The OSCE/ODIHR is over, there is already a crisis, the crisis is not waiting for anything. The people are out on the streets and these elections are not recognized by the people. The political opposition is not entering the Parliament, whether we want it or not, there is a crisis”, - said the President.
