The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament encouraged citizens by saying that everything would be “fine”, there would be no “chaos or disorder” in the country amid ongoing protest rallies.
“There would be no change of the agenda on the part of the Government… You have given us a mandate [in the parliamentary elections], which we treat with the utmost responsibility, protection, and appreciation. This trust will not and cannot be betrayed. Thank you once again for the trust you have shown, and thank you for your support during these challenging days, which we feel and appreciate.
We must understand that the current situation is a consequence of the process happening around Georgia, we will surely emerge from it safely”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
