Archil Gorduladze, MP from the Georgian Dream, presented an initiative to the Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament to ban the use of lasers during demonstrations.
“Practice has shown that lasers and flashlights are often used during gatherings, which in turn creates problems for the activities of those bodies whose responsibility it is to ensure the life and health of people and to prevent relevant violations of the law.
These lasers are often used to shine on various cameras that provide surveillance. At the same time, law enforcement officers have less opportunity to carry out their activities when they are illuminated with lasers. We suggest that lasers should also not be allowed during rallies”, - said Archil Gorduladze.
