MEPs join the protest rally on Rustaveli Avenue

Dutch MEP, Reinier van Lanschot, MEP Michał Szczerba (Poland), MEP Tobias Cremer (Germany), Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevičienė and MEP Sergey Lagodinsky (Germany) joined the people gathered near the Parliament at the protest rally.

Citizens met them with applause and ovations during the procession.

“We are here not only to show solidarity, to get the information we need, but also to give a push to our institutions - to the European Commission or the European Council - to send a very clear message about the current situation, to push them to act, not only to talk, but also to act”, - said Ras Juknevičienė.

For the context: citizens are protesting the decision of Georgian Dream on November 28, according to which Georgia will not put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028.
