“Over 100 individuals were sanctioned aftermath of the adoption of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence. This time the US Department of State imposed visa restrictions on an additional 20 individuals which is the merit of Georgian people, who have been defending the country’s constitution risking their lives for the last 2 weeks.

This is a prelude and more to come. The sanctions will have an effect especially when they are imposed against those who organized and are responsible for utilizing torture methods against their people. This is a supplementary lever, along with the continuous protest to achieve our goal and return the country to the constitutional framework through new elections”, - said Teona Akubardia.
