
Ahead of the EU Foreign Ministers meeting on December 16, representatives of the Georgian NGOs sent a joint letter to Kaja Kallas, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission and EU member states Foreign Ministers, urging the EU to address Georgia’s democratic backsliding under the Georgian Dream.
The letter was published by the Europe Editor Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty on the social network X.
“Letter from Georgia’s civil society representatives to the European Union foreign policy chief Kallas asking her to allow them to address the EU foreign affairs council in Brussels on 16 December + impose sanctions, suspend visa liberalization for diplomatic passport and ask to re-run the October elections”, - writes Rikard Jozwiak.
