The Prime Minister of Georgia announced the formation of a Government commission chaired by him to spearhead university reform, aiming to transform the nation’s higher education system within the next 4 years.
"We need a comprehensive overhaul to enhance the quality of education in the country.
The quality of higher education in our country is not satisfactory. However, the resources available in this sector are immense. We must leverage all these resources to ensure that, in four years, Georgian students can receive an education comparable to that of European countries.
The commission would include Aleksandre Tsuladze, Minister of Education, as my deputy, and Levan Izoria, my Advisor on Education and Science, as the Secretary of the commission. A specific plan must be drawn up, and the Commission will work tirelessly to achieve the set goals within the designated timeframe", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
