The award for citizens registered in Tbilisi and aged 100 and over has increased 10 times and amounts to GEL 10 000. Such a statement made today the Mayor of the capital.

"The capital`s City Hall used to award a person with GEL 1000 after turning 100 years old. We have decided that the award will increase tenfold and it will reach GEL 10 000 for those who will turn 100 and over.

In 2024, 57 people received the money. I would like to wish these people, first of all, good health and a long life. To receive the award, a citizen or his/her representatives must apply to the Tbilisi City Hall’s Health and Social Service with an application.

The application must be accompanied by an identity card of a citizen who has reached the age of 100 and an information card issued by the Civil Registry confirming continuous registration in Tbilisi for the past year.

Those elderly people who have already benefited from the aforementioned program before 2025 will no longer have to submit an application", - said Kakha Kaladze.
