Running between Wednesday and Sunday, the event will enable visitors to “immerse themselves in Georgian culture”, sample traditional dishes and wine.
Georgia’s stand was also visited by Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
Maia Omiadze, the Head of the Tourism Administration, held meetings with representatives from major international companies as part of the fair, including British Airways, Expedia, Thinkstrawberies, Epic Road Rides, Paramaunt, Edreams odiego and the Spanish marking firm Comunica por Cuatro.
The Administration has a dedicated stand at this exhibition, where it is showcasing Georgia alongside private companies. Every year, Georgia participates in the FITUR Madrid. During this year’s event, we have scheduled high-level meetings with influential media outlets and partner organisations. These meetings will be conducted by representatives from the private sector and their business partners, aiming to attract more travelers from Europe to Georgia”, - said Maia Omiadze.
