Georgia’s National Wine Agency to showcase domestic wine at Tokyo, Madrid, Paris events

The National Wine Agency of Georgia announced a series of showcases for domestic wine at events to be hosted in Tokyo, Madrid, and Paris this year.

“The first of the events will take place in the Japanese capital, where Georgian wine will be featured at a “special presentation”. Following the event, the products will make their way to the Spanish capital, where local companies will participate in the Madrid Fusión Gastro Congress.

A dedicated Georgian wine tasting seminar is scheduled to be held during the Congress, alongside a stand organised by the National Tourism Administration that would showcase both wines and culinary traditions of the country.

In early February, the spotlight will shift to Paris, where Georgian wine producers will engage with audiences at the RAW Wine international natural wine exhibition and the VineExpo Paris international wine and spirits exhibition.

Georgian wine will be featured in several “strategic markets” in 2025, including the US, the UK, Germany, Poland, the Baltic countries, China and South Korea. Domestic producers would actively participate in all major international wine and alcoholic beverage fairs throughout the year.

The promotional efforts for Georgian wine this year will benefit from an increased budget of GEL 17.4 million [GEL 1.4 million more than in 2024].

The past year saw a record-breaking export revenue of USD 565 million from the sale of wine and alcoholic beverages - a 24% increase compared to 2023”, - reads the statement.
