Procedural Issues and Rules Committee supported the early termination of the mandate of 49 MPs

The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee discussed the pre-term termination of the Powers of MP for 49 Members of Parliament from 3 Political Unions.

The representatives of three political subjects overcoming the threshold at the October 26 Parliamentary Elections - “Coalition for Change, Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa”, “United National Movement”, and “Strong Georgia - Lelo, for People, for Freedom” addressed the Speaker with the application for the pre-term termination of their Powers of MP.

According to the Chair of the Committee, David Matikashvili, the Committee, after the verification of the authenticity of the signatures, presumed that in line with paragraph 5, Article 39 of the Constitution of Georgia, and paragraph 2, Article 6 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Powers of MP shall be terminated ahead of time for:

Members of the “Coalition for Change, Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, Droa”: Nana Malashkhia, Nikanor Melia, Zurab (Girchi) Japaridze, Giorgi Lemonjava, Tengiz Tevzadze, Tsotne Koberidze, Giorgi Kirtadze, Ivane Chkonia, Khatuna Samnidze, Oktai Kazumov, Maia Kopaleishvili, Boris Kurua, Ana Gogoladze, Giorgi Butikashvili, Giorgi Imedashvili, Elene Khoshtaria, Sofia Goletiani, Marika Arevadze, and Ani Kavtaradze;

Members of the “United National Movement”: Tinatin Bokuchava, Giorgi Vashadze, Sofio Japaridze, Koba Nakopia, Gaioz Japaridze, Petre Tsiskarishvili, Giorgi Tsereteli, Irakli Khvadagiani, Tamar Kordzaia, Irakli Pavlenishvili, Kakhaber Okriashvili, Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Ekaterine Kherkheulidze, Levan Khabeishvili, Lasha Bakradze, and Ana Tsitladze;

Members of the “Strong Georgia - Lelo, for People, for Freedom”: Mamuka Khazaradze, Ana Dolidze, Badri Japaridze, Ana Natsvlishvili, Levan Tsutskiridze, Irakli Kupradze, Ketevan Turazashvili, Saba Buadze, Salome Samadashvili, Datuna Rakviashvili, Tamar Laliashvili, Grigol Gegelia, Levan Samushia, and Pikria Chikhradze.

The Committee approved the applications.
