Regular direct flights between Kutaisi and Lyon are scheduled to begin on June 3, 2025.
According to the United Airports of Georgia, this route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, connecting Kutaisi David Agmashenebeli International Airport with Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport.
“Wizz Air decided to establish this route following extensive negotiations. The new connection will enhance travel opportunities for Georgian citizens and strengthen diplomatic ties between Georgia and France.
Lyon will become the 2nd French city with direct air connectivity to Georgia, following Paris. This new route will provide comfortable travel options to one of France’s key cultural and economic centres.
It is particularly exciting for Georgian football fans, who will find it easier to attend club matches featuring Giorgi Mikautadze, striker for Olympique Lyonnais, and to witness him compete in the prestigious UEFA Champions League”, - said Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia.
Tickets to Lyon are already available on Wizz Air’s website, www.wizzair.com. Wizz Air will also resume flights to Madrid and Hamburg in April.
