I have decided to end my political activities, I am leaving politics. Tamar Kordzaia, a member of the Unity-National Movement, writes on her Facebook page.

"I am leaving politics. I began my political career in 2013, and it has been a fascinating period of my life. I have always strived to be a defender of the country`s interests, Georgia`s Constitution, and human rights. Sometimes I succeeded, sometimes I didn`t. One thing I can affirm is that every decision was shaped by these three fundamental values. I have received much criticism, but what I remember most is the support and solidarity, and I thank everyone who showed me this.

Thank you to everyone who fought alongside me. Life is worth this experience. After considerable reflection, I have decided to end my political activities. I know it is difficult, and it will be followed by mixed reactions, which is understandable.

I remain an active citizen, who continues to fight for the country`s European future", - writes Tamar Kordzaia.
