
The team [20 para-athletes] of injured soldiers from the Georgian Ministry of Defence has departed for Canada to participate in the Invictus Games 2025, which will be held in Vancouver and Whistler.
Before their departure, the team trained at the sports hall of the Maro Makashvili Rehabilitation Center in Tserovani, while para-athletes engaged in exercises in Bakuriani.
The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will take place from February 8 to 16, 2025, bringing together up to 550 competitors from 25 nations to compete in adaptive sports. New winter sports featured in this edition will include Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding, Nordic Skiing, Biathlon, Skeleton, and Wheelchair Curling, alongside the core Invictus Games sports such as Indoor Rowing, Sitting Volleyball, Swimming, Wheelchair Rugby, and Wheelchair Basketball.
