The Mayor of Tbilisi expressed strong support for the Georgia Dream’s decision to reintroduce the treason clause in the Criminal Code, emphasizing that those who acted against state interests must be held accountable.
“Over the past years and months, we have witnessed certain groups and individuals who were openly following foreign interests and executing tasks assigned from abroad. Their actions were fueled by hatred and malice, aimed at dividing society. We have seen specific evidence of plans to finance extremist organisations and radicals. There were several attempts at a coup.
Naturally, all those who engaged in such activities and acted against state interests must be held accountable. Every question must receive an appropriate answer”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
