No country financing non-governmental organizations will allocate a single penny to projects designed to enhance a country’s sovereignty. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi, while commenting the success of the Soviet Past Research Laboratory in a competition announced by the French Embassy to support Georgian civil society initiatives.
“Imagine a citizen of our country establishes a hypothetical NGO dedicated to strengthening national sovereignty and fostering patriotism, seeking a grant for these purposes. I assure you, that not a single organization or nation that funds NGOs in our country will invest in such initiatives.
Their primary goal is to incite discord within the nation, to create divisions among citizens, to orchestrate coups, and to fund training disguised as support for parents of children with serious illnesses.
The public has witnessed the discussions and explanations provided, as well as how they were instructing individuals to organize a coup. This is the stark reality.
The state will undoubtedly take necessary measures to safeguard the nation’s interests and will not allow anyone, especially those from abroad, to instigate a coup or revolution in our country”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
