It would be preferable if the OSCE Secretary General’s visit did not occur - Levan Sanikidze

It would be preferable if the OSCE Secretary General’s visit did not occur. Such a statement made today Levan Sanikidze, the United National Movement.

“However, we have precedents where the West has engaged in dialogue with groups like Hezbollah and Hamas when necessary. We don’t mind if they convey critical messages to the Georgian Dream aimed at diffusing the political crisis in our country, facilitating new elections, and securing the release of political prisoners.

Joe Wilson’s assessment is indisputably accurate. We believe the West should refrain from providing any additional propaganda support to the Georgian Dream.

However, since this decision has been made and the visit is impending, I am confident that key messages - including those regarding the resolution of the political crisis, the timeline for new elections, changes to the Central Electoral Commission, and the release of political prisoners - will be directly addressed.

Still, it would have been better not to convey these messages to the Georgian Dream in this manner”, - said Levan Sanikidze.
