
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with a delegation of ambassadors accredited by the UN.
The key topics of the conversation included the reforms carried out by the Government of Georgia, the country’s economic capabilities and transit role, also regional cooperation and existing challenges.
The Head of Government drew attention to the importance of developing global partnership in terms of both conflict resolution and ensuring international peace and security, and the country’s sustainable development.
The conversation touched on the dire security and humanitarian state of affairs in Georgia’s occupied territories. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Georgian Government’s commitment to the policy of peaceful conflict resolution, also expressing gratitude to the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the UN for strongly supporting Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its non-recognition policy.
Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the special importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and reiterated Georgia’s readiness to facilitate dialogue seeking to ensure lasting peace in the region.
