
The First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia held his 1st official meeting at the State Department during his visit to the United States.
Levan Davitashvili discussed the prospective agenda of political and economic cooperation between the two countries with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Joshua Haque.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, the Georgian government is in full agreement with the new American administration on key issues. Davitashvili, along with the delegation, held meetings at the US Department of Commerce and the Treasury Department. Meetings with representatives of various US state agencies will also be held during the visit.
"We had bilateral meetings with the new administration. These were the first official meetings held at the State Department. The discussion at the bilateral meetings touched on the positive agenda that will be between the two countries in terms of economic cooperation.
We also talked about political perspectives, about the fact that the new administration and the Georgian government have complete agreement on key issues, and that our alignment in actions and ideology will help us to build a promising cooperation agenda", - said Levan Davitashvili.
