Record number of international tourist visits recorded in the country - National Tourism Administration publishes statistics for the first quarter of 2025

Georgian National Tourism Administration publishes statistics for the first quarter of 2025. As the agency says, the winter tourist season in Georgia concluded successfully. According to first-quarter data, over 1.3 million international travelers visited Georgia, with nearly 1 million tourists - up 2.2 per cent year-on-year.

There is significant increase in tourism revenue, which reached a record USD 826 million in the 1st quarter, reflecting proportional growth alongside the rise in tourist numbers.

In terms of revenue dynamics, tourist earnings for the 1st quarter of 2025 surpassed those of the same period in 2019 by 42.8% and exceeded 2024 figures by 2.3%.

Notably, there was an increase in tourists from EU countries, particularly from the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Greece, as well as from Israel, India, China, and Gulf nations.
