The President of Georgia commenced his official visit to Armenia. A welcoming ceremony was held at the Zvartnots International Airport.

Mikheil Kavelashvili was greeted by Tigran Khachatryan, Vice Prime Minister of Armenia. As part of the visit, he will hold high-level meetings with his Armenian counterpart Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"My official visit to the Republic of Armenia has commenced. I will hold high-level meetings with President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the visit. I am honored to have the opportunity to meet His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians.

Georgia and Armenia are bound by a deep-rooted and enduring friendship. I am delighted that one of my first international visits is to our close neighbor, underscoring the importance of our bilateral ties", - writes Mikheil Kavelashvili on X.
