The President of Georgia met in Erevan with his Armenian counterpart, who welcomed him at the Presidential Palace.

Mikheil Kavelashvili and Vahagn Khachaturyan engaged in a productive one-on-one meeting, discussing prospects for strengthening the enduring friendship and partnership between Georgia and Armenia.

The leaders also explored avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Kavelashvili expressed his gratitude to Khachaturyan for Armenia’s support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The parties reviewed current political developments in both countries, emphasized the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability.

Mikheil Kavelashvili pointed to the recent trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers from Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan held in Tbilisi as a clear indicator of Georgia’s commitment to promoting dialogue, peace, and stability in the South Caucasus.
