
As part of his official visit to Armenia, the President of Georgia met with the Armenian Prime Minister.
During a one-on-one meeting, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Nikol Pashinyan discussed the fruitful cooperation and longstanding good-neighborly relations between the two nations.
They highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between the countries, particularly in areas such as trade and economy, transportation, and cultural ties.
The discussions also focused on regional challenges and the crucial importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
Kavelashvili welcomed the conclusion of peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling it a historic step toward lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus. As he added, Tbilisi recently hosted a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministries of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. The President expressed hope that cooperation in this format would continue for the benefit of regional prosperity.
