Prime Minister attends the Festive Liturgy Dedicated to the Feast of the Ever-Virgin Mary’s Allotment and the Commemoration of Saint Andrew the First-Called

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia together with President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and members of the executive and legislative authorities of the country attended a festive liturgy dedicated to the Feast of the Ever-Virgin Mary’s Allotment and the Commemoration of Saint Andrew the First-Called.

Liturgy was held at the Church of Iveron Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, located on Mount Makhata, was conducted by Metropolitan Shio of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne, along with other clergy.

The Prime Minister congratulated the public on the Feast of the Ever-Virgin Mary’s Allotment and the Commemoration of Saint Andrew the First-Called.

After the liturgy, Metropolitan Shio addressed the congregation with a sermon, extended holiday greetings and thanked the Government of Georgia for declaring the Feast of the Ever-Virgin Mary’s Allotment public holiday.
