Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Portugal, Levan Tsurtsumia.

The meeting discussed the current relations between Georgia and Portugal and future prospects for cooperation. Head of the Government congratulated Levan Tsurtsumia on his appointment, wished him success in his work.

Levan Tsurtsumia has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for many years. At various times, he held the positions of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine and the Permanent Mission of Georgia to GUAM, and was also the Deputy Director of the International Legal Department. He worked as the Director of the Department at the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
