
We would like to clarify that the media reports claiming the train caught fire are not accurate, reads the statement, issued by the Georgian Railways.
“On May 20, the train operating on the Kutaisi–Batumi route stopped at Lanchkhuti station due to a technical problem, specifically a minor fault in the contact network.
The issue was resolved promptly. The train service has been restored. Other trains are operating without disruption.
We would also like to clarify that the media reports claiming the train caught fire are not accurate”, - says the agency.
