May 26 is a national holiday and will be celebrated appropriately, we will not allow radical opposition to undermine this day with any disruptions - Kobakhidze

May 26 is a national holiday and will be celebrated appropriately, we will not allow radical opposition to undermine this day with any disruptions. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

"They talk about provocations and even about potential victims, but of course, the radical opposition`s plans are doomed to failure.

They talk about provocations and even victims, but their plans are, of course, unlikely to be realised. They lack even the elementary resources to carry out such acts. Look at how far their own supervisor has led the opposition.

Every day, around 150 people gather on Rustaveli Avenue, demonstrating to the public the opposition`s weak and unconvincing face. Under these circumstances, radical opposition doesn`t have the capacity to organise any serious provocation.

Therefore, the celebration of May 26 will proceed as it should - this is a shared national holiday, an Independence Day. It should be a unifying public celebration. We will not allow the radical opposition to undermine this day with any disruptions. It must be observed as a true national holiday", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
