The Prime Minister of Georgia described the MEGOBARI Act adopted by the US House of Representatives as a hostile act toward the Georgian people, as well as an affront to the country`s independence and sovereignty.
Irakli Kobakhidze underlined that the will of the Georgian people must be respected.
"This is a very blatant interference and is absolutely counterproductive. Everyone must respect the choice of the Georgian people, Georgia`s sovereignty, and independence. The MEGOBARI Act is actually a hostile act against the Georgian people, Georgia`s independence, and sovereignty", - said Head of the Government.
As Irakli Kobakhidze added, he had not received a reply to his open letter addressed to the US President Donald Trump, but added that "silence is also a very significant answer".
