
The Permanent Delegation of the Gorgian Parliament has departed for the United States to participate in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session.
The Spring Session of the Assembly will take place in Dayton, Ohio, May 22 - 26.
“The Spring Session of the NATO PA is a key platform for Georgia to voice its stance on regional security matters”, - said Givi Mikanadze, Head of the Permanent Delegation/Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs.
According to the agenda, discussions will focus on security issues of both global and regional significance. Special attention will be given to the Black Sea region and Russia’s ongoing military aggression in Ukraine.
The session will also address strengthening democratic resilience and assess progress in the Balkans, marking the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
The Georgian delegation also includes Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee, and Mariam Lashkhi, First Deputy Chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee.
