To celebrate Georgia`s Independence Day, a festive event was held in the Rosendal`s Royal Garden in Stockholm, organized by the Embassy of Georgia.

The guests were addressed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Irakli Khutsurauli. He focused on the historical relations between Georgia and Sweden, Georgia`s foreign policy priorities and the country`s achievements.

The evening opened with a live performance of the national anthems of Georgia and Sweden. Georgian traditional dances and songs performed by Swedish musicians were presented. Guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian dishes and wine.

The event was attended by the legislative and executive authorities of Sweden, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Sweden, the media, scientific circles and the Georgian diaspora.
