Giorgi Burjanadze, legal advisor of the Civil Society Foundation, states that the detention of Zurab Girchi Japaridze is a classic example of "classic political justice".

According to him, they have appealed to their international partners to use the appropriate mechanisms.

"We would like to present a statement regarding yesterday`s illegal detention of Zurab Girchi Japaridze. In our assessment, this is a classic example of political justice. We have appealed to our international partners to use the mechanisms at their disposal and we hope that by using international mechanisms, in the context of the fact that no mechanism is working in the country, we will establish justice and release these political prisoners", - said Giorgi Burjanadze.
