Opposition and NGOs announced the violence on May 26, directly talking about victims and radicalization, position of some ambassadors on this issue is interesting. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, while responding to the information spread in the media that the 5th President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, is at the US Embassy, while the opposition is meeting with the EU Ambassador.

"I don`t know who is meeting with whom, but I`m watching to see how many meetings the diplomats will have, especially now, after the opposition and NGOs announced the violence on May 26.

The opposition is talking directly about the victims and radicalization. The experience we have, unfortunately, does not make us think anything good about them.

The unequivocal position of some ambassadors is interesting. We saw how on April 9, violent groups from parties and NGOs tried to radicalize, used violence, including against the participants of April 9. The ambassadors who were funding these NGOs saw all this and they said nothing. More than a month has passed and we have not seen a single condemnation from donors when the NGOs they funded committed an act of violence near the memorial on April 9.

Even now we see that some NGOs and political groups are directly announcing provocations and violence. If any NGO gets involved in violence once again, it will be the direct fault of the donor who has not spoken out so far. Either donors and embassies will distance themselves from violence, terror, hatred, or all this will be on them", - said Shalva Papuashvili.
