The quake occurred at 13:15 local time [TSI] and had a depth of 7.71 kilometers. Its epicenter was recorded at 39.23528° N latitude and 28.96778° E longitude.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage, but local authorities and emergency services remain on high alert and are closely monitoring the area for any potential aftershocks or emerging threats.
Simav, a region historically prone to seismic activity, experienced a significant earthquake in 2011, prompting ongoing preparedness efforts in the area. Today`s tremor serves as a reminder of the region`s seismic sensitivity.
